CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

As with previous editions of IEEE WCNC conference, IEEE WCNC 2013 will be hosting a series of workshops and therefore invites submission of workshop proposals. Workshops should highlight new and emerging topics within the scope of communications and networking, and should include a mix of regular papers, invited presentations and panels that encourage the participation of attendees in active discussion. The workshop proposal should describe concisely the content, importance and timeliness of the workshop. Papers accepted by IEEE WCNC 2013 workshops will be published in the IEEE WCNC 2013 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore®.

Workshop proposals should be submitted in one all-in-one PDF file to EDAS or ieeewcnc2013-workshops-chairs@edas.info no later than 23 July 2012

Each workshop proposal must include the following sections:

  • Title of workshop
     
  • Length of the workshop: Half-day or Full-day
     
  • Names, addresses, and a short CV (no more than 300 words) of workshop organizers
     
  • A brief description (up to 1 page) of the technical issues that the workshop will address, emphasizing its timeliness
     
  • A draft call for papers
     
  • Names of potential participants, such as techincal program committee members and invited speakers
     
  • Planned format of the workshop, such as number of refereed papers, hot topic sessions, keynotes, panels etc.
     
  • If appropriate, a description of past versions of the workshop, including number of submitted and accepted papers, number of attendees, etc
     
  • The workshop website address (if available at the time of the proposal - will be required later if the workshop proposal is accepted)
     
  • A description of the publicity and promotion plan
